M13 Road Closure – On Wednesday 10th July 2024 from 05:00 to 15:00 the M13 at Kassier Rd will be closed in both directions.
The road closure is in place to facilitate the safe pouring of the concrete deck for the new Kassier Rd bridge over the M13 and means that:
- Both sides of the M13 will be closed at Kassier Rd so that no vehicles travel under the bridge during the pouring process.
- Kassier Rd will remain OPEN in both directions but all vehicles will be diverted onto the on and off ramps across Kassier Rd and back onto the M13.
- If you would like to avoid this area please use the Shongweni Rd on and off ramps from the M13 or access Kassier Rd via the N3.
It is estimated that approximately 700m³ of concrete will be poured on the day, facilitating the new bridge over the M13 and ultimately 2 lanes of traffic and pedestrian walkways in both directions along Kassier Rd.
