Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 – A Landmark Success for Durban & KZN and an important platform for local businesses.
With all exhibition space sold out and 1,200 exhibitors from 26 African countries, this year’s Africa Travel Indaba has firmly cemented itself as one of the continent’s leading tourism platforms. Over 900 vetted international buyers from 55 countries and global media joined in, setting up more than 7,430 business-to-business meetings — and counting!
Durban once again took centre stage, showcasing KwaZulu-Natal as a region of opportunity where tourism is driving economic recovery and regional growth. MEC of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Reverend Musa Zondi highlighted the province’s bold vision for tourism and conservation, with encouraging updates like a decline in rhino poaching thanks to smarter protection measures.
As part of the province’s tourism evolution, Westown proudly presented its role as a key driver of tourism for both Durban and KZN with the recently opened shopping, dining and lifestyle destination of Westown Square.
This is not just a shopping centre, it is a town centre experience that focuses on people blending culture, commerce, and community,” Carlos Correia CEO of Westown developers Fundamentum Property Group.
With tourism on the rise and landmark developments gaining momentum, Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 is another opportunity to declare that KZN is open for business!
